I have neglected my blog for almost a year. Shame on me! Let me recap the last year quickly.
Bronchitis + asthma + steroid intolerance = long time for recovery. Good news is, I had to give in and use steroids and they didn’t affect me the way the did the last time I took them.
Harlequin rejected Small Town Stalker.
I did some revisions and set it to the side. I sent a query letter to a publisher the week before Thanksgiving. Still haven’t heard anything.
Participated in #PitMad on Twitter. Got a hit within 10 minutes of posting. Sent in the first 3 chapters. Exactly one we later, they requested the full. It’s been three weeks since I submitted the full. No news yet.
I did the Sebastian County Citizen’s Academy. I learned a lot. I even got tased. I’ll see if I can upload the video later.
I finished book two and it has a title, Expecting Danger. Here’s the blurb.
The men who killed Kate Henry’s husband and left her for dead have found her again. Running isn’t easy when you’re eight months pregnant. Jacob Jones, security guard, is at the right place at the right time, thwarting an attempted abduction of the beautiful Kate. He is inexplicably drawn to her, perhaps its her beauty or hope for everything he lost when his pregnant wife died. Jacob will do everything in his power to keep Kate and her unborn child safe, even give up his life. After the betrayal of her late husband, Kate doesn’t need the help of the handsome stranger for fear of its repercussions. The longer they are together the more her walls crumble. Will Kate and Jacob find in each other the things to heal their past?
I am the official secretary of River Valley Writers Group.
My husband and I bought a house. We moved. We love it. Kids love the huge backyard.
I’ve signed up for several “street teams” and will post reviews on my blog.
I’m currently reading Sarah Monzon’s All of You. So far I’m loving it. You should go preorder it. Also, get The Isaac Project. Loved it!
